Cody, Iron Eyes  (1907)

Cody, Iron Eyes Actor. A Cher?okee, Cody was taken by his parents to Hollywood when a small child. His father worked as an adviser on Indian movies, and the boy played Indian children. His recent autobiography reveals that in 1912 he was in Griffith's The Massacre. His acting career continued through the 20s. By the 30s he was a technical adviser himself, and gradually playing larger parts, flourishing in the 50s when the Indian gained more serious treat?ment in films. He may be the only man to have played Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse.
