Connors, Chuck (1921)

Actor. Connors, a former baseball player, entered films in the early 50s, first catching the eye as the Police Captain in Pat and Mike. His Western career was split between film and television, and on film his parts varied between fairly routine leads (the hard-bitten soldiers of Tomahawk Trail and The Broken Sabre) and more inter?esting character roles like that of Burl Ives' depraved son in The Big Country or the title part in Geronimo. In Support Your Local Gunfighter he revealed an unsuspected comic sense.
