Cook, Elisha, Jr. (1906)
Actor. Of small stature, with
shifty eyes. Cook specialized in losers. Appearing in numerous small roles from
the mid-30s onwards, it was not until 1952 that he made his first Western
appear?ance, in Shane, where with typical false bravado he falls victim to Jack Palance's gunslinger. Thereafter, he made
regular brief appearances in Westerns, invariably playing small-time losers or
luckless townsmen.
