Bennett, Bruce (1906)
?Actor. An Olympic Games shot-putter and world-record holder, Bennett entered movies in the mid-30s under his real name of Herman Brix. He starred in serials and played Tarzan in two modest ventures. Changing his name in 1940, he played supporting roles effectively in a wide variety of films (Mildred Pierce, Dark Passage), and was outstanding as the intrusive lone prospector in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. After appearing in several minor Westerns, he retired to television in the early 60s.?
