Bettger, Lyle (1915)

 Actor. Fair-haired, cold-eyed, Bettger is one of the great West?ern villains. He has excelled playing heartless characters, usually a rancher with a hatred of farmers or Indians, or the callous leader of an outlaw gang. His best remembered roles are   that   of  Ike  Clanton,   the   man   who opposed Wyatt Earp in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, and the powerful rancher who starts an Indian uprising in The Lone Ranger.
