Crabbe, Buster (1908-85)

Crabbe BusterActor, aka Larry Crabbe. Usually remembered as an Olympic swimming champion and/or from the Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers serials, he was also the star of over fifty Westerns. He started out   playing   bit   roles   in   Randolph   Scott Westerns at Paramount in 1933, and even?tually got the title role in Nevada. He starred in several more Paramount Westerns before moving to pro, where,  between   1941   and 1946, he played the title role in the Billy the Lid Billy Carson series thirty-six times.
