Cabot, Bruce  (1904-72)

Actor. Cabot was tall, tough and very much a man of the people, successfully disguising in his screen roles the fact that he was descended from French aristocracy. Early in his forty-year career he could often be found on the side of right (notably so in King Kong, of course), but as time went on Cabot's nasty side-usually prevailed. He was in good Westerns galore, but no masterpiece typical of a career which never quite took off.
